Standing Apart

Standing Apart – The first step that we need to take to get our homes in order is to connect with the world around us. We aim to help other people find their meaningful causes and projects so that they may also find meaning in them. It is particularly important to make this distinction in this era when there are so many leaders who are trying to impose their agenda on their people.

I think they have forgotten that service does not have to be selfish in any way. As a result of the fact that we have succeeded in becoming great, we will need to be quite different from the egoists and extremists who have taken over leadership and invaded the minds of the world. There is no doubt that so many of our so-called leaders have become increasingly sad in the last few decades. It is because they are afraid of becoming unpopular that they do not make tough or expedient decisions, preferring instead to talk endlessly, constantly compromise, and follow party lines against the needs of the people. Our courage will make us stand out in the midst of fear, while they are fearful.

There is a great deal of dismissiveness towards those without a position of power or equal to their own, and they rarely speak with ordinary people or those on the front lines of society. Even though they are elitists, we will remain humble and in close contact with the people we lead while they are elitists. Their goal appears to be to always appear buttery, buttoned-up, and logical so that they never engage in passionate debate or demonstrate any displays of emotion.

They begin to lose their humanity and become like computers, detached from their hearts and dispassionate. The world has abandoned feelings, but we will live with fire and draw in a world that is in dire need of authentic emotion and connection. In addition to their tired appearance, they seem older than their age, their voices and expressions indicate a lack of buoyancy in their voice, while their tired, long faces and distant gazes are telltale signs of exhaustion. In contrast to them, we shall exude vibrancy as they lack it.

Their public discourses and policies are meant to appeal to their most vocal critics and extremists, perpetuating language and beliefs that cater to the lowest common denominator while dividing us into camps based on stupid stereotypes, in order to appeal to their loudest critics and extremists. There will be a third perspective that is collaborative and conscious, which we will bring to the table while they bow to the extremists and communicate with low intelligence.

There is a tendency among these people to be reactionary fools, they bend and break at the whims of shallow media, and as a result, they stand for nothing and strive to be in conformity with the lowbrow nature of mass communication as best they can. We will continue to maintain our integrity and dignity while they lack these qualities. Like spoiled children, these people always point the finger at others and make excuses for why they are not responsible.

We will always be accountable for our actions and results, even when they remain unaccountable and refuse to accept responsibility for their actions and results. The greedy ones are after the spotlight and the money, so they are always looking for more power and money. We shall be simple, while they are greedy, and fight for those who suffer from lack as we fight for those who suffer from gluttony.

The majority of the time, they rely on experts and the status quo, forgetting to listen to the young and the inexperienced, who might be able to view the world and its problems from a fresh point of view. It seems that the uninitiated are dismissed by them, but we shall take them into our fold as friends and advisors. They have a cynical attitude and believe that in order for change to take place, formality, and tradition must be followed.

The power of a movement may be unknown to them, but we are going to begin our own movement while they haven’t experienced its power. In order to achieve these goals, we have to set high expectations for ourselves. Rather than making excuses for those who have been failing to raise the standards of our businesses, communities, and countries to higher levels of excellence and greatness, let’s be so bold as to lead in new ways, standing apart from those who have been failing.

As long as we show the world an alternate example by always caring enough to be remarkable and unifying, no matter what position we hold at work, at school, or in our community, we will be able to set an alternative example in the world. I believe that as a community, we should strive to shine as beacons for a world that is struggling for hope and longing for light and leadership. I believe there are few people who would disagree that we need new and different leaders in the world.

Then let us sit down this evening and come up with a manifesto of how we are going to be different from the status quo. Taking the time to write and write some more, what are our beliefs and causes that we will support? What new approaches can we take to deal with the issues and problems of the world in order to make them more manageable? Is there anything that will inspire a new movement in the future? Is there a way we can raise to the occasion?
