Do you have idea of what is interrupted cause? let us explain. Freedom can only be achieved through active self-expression and pursuing our own goals. When we think, feel, speak, and behave according to our own values, we gain integrity and build a foundation for our happiness. Is there any way we could ever lose sight of this? When we are young, we begin to form our own beliefs and to direct our behavior independently from the commands of our caregivers.
A child is the first to take her first steps away from her mother, to cross the street safely on her own, to decide with enthusiasm what she wants to eat, wear, draw, or dress like. In her story, we see the natural desire to become independent, a desire to become our own person.
As we age, we become more conscious and bold about standing on our own, finding our own path, chasing our dreams, breaking down our own boundaries, loving without permission and contributing without limitations. Our lives are filled with decisions: going to school, ending an affair, taking risks, changing careers, joining movements, seeing the world.
Our ideas start to assert themselves because we want to make a mark of our own. There will never be a stop to this natural impulse. The problem is that our seeking is constantly interrupted by those around us and our own fearful thinking, stealing it away from us again and again. We now have to deal with that reality. The only way we can join the ranks of the free souls who love their lives and lead their people is to overcome social- and self-oppression.
