An Arm for Courage

An arm for courage worth and course of action is being questioned by Defiance’s three serpent heads: Doubt. The act of delaying breeds indolence. Mental and emotional division closes the heart and mind. Our most common malaise can be attributed to one creature; namely, the lack of certainty, activity, and humanity.
We are naive to think we will ever be able to defeat Defiance permanently. There is still a chance that it will return even if we defeat it when it matters most in our lives, and this is something we must do. Insecurity and neglect contribute to the development of defiance, a noxious weed planted by a society in constant disease.
The brambles and runners continue to grow throughout our lives, spreading all over the place. In order to eradicate it, we must continually pull it out by its roots. A daily commitment is required here, followed by a daily recommitment. Thanks to Faith, Action, and Love, we can beat Defiance back. Our weapon against Defiance can be given form in the same way.
Moreover, consider the Sword of Courage as our one weapon against our internal terrors. An unbending sword forged from Faith, Action, and Love, that remarkable triumvirate-a strong hilt formed by Faith, and a blade of indestructible steel. Whenever Defiance resists our progress, let us remember this arm for courage image, and use it to overcome it.
Therefore, the arm for courage becomes the most defining moment in our lives when we are able to exercise it. Heroes and leaders of history and innovators who forged humanity’s way out of darkness and ignorance had to deal with their own internal conflicts and overcome them when they mattered most. The way they worry is similar to the way we worry. Procrastination was the norm.
Hence, human beings sometimes had lower opinions of them. Their sheer will to overcome such impulses and to faithfully, actively, and lovingly fight for a better life for themselves and others made them celebrate, pushed society forward, and gave birth to their legend. Now is the time to add our own chapter of Arm for Courage to Humanity’s Good book, based on what we have learned from them.
