The Death of Darkness – we are all capable of inspiring ourselves, and those around us, to such greatness if we allow them, no matter where they come from. Essentially, we are aiming to bring the death of mediocrity to our sphere of influence. A huge society will always have low standards of living, even if it takes so long for things to change globally. Therefore, perhaps only the dead will see the end of the war, poverty, and all the other dark social failings that plague our society today.
However, we must continue to try our best as long as we are alive. It would be great if we could try to end many of the ills of our society at least. In the event that we do not do that, who will do so, and by when will we do so? If we don’t do better, what will the future say about us? Is it possible for us to see a new dawn in the history of humanity, one where more of us will become great men and women of character and conscience?
We will have a hard time succeeding if we doubt it. In other words, if we lift up the mantle from previous generations, carry it further, and share its weight and splendor with those around us, we will provide examples of greatness that future generations will celebrate and strive to emulate, and we will serve as an inspiration to those who come after us.
As a result of respect for the sacrifices of those who have inspired us and in service to those who have been dear to us and to those who are yet to come who await inspiration, let us rise up and become great now in honor of their blood and hard-won triumphs.
